Newton System 500

Newton System 500 is one of the easiest basement waterproofing systems to understand and specify. It is recognised by the British Standards and industry experts as the “least likely system to fail”.

What is cavity drain waterproofing ?

It is a fully maintainable basement waterproofing solution ideal for new-build basements and refurbishment projects. It typically comprises Cavity Drain Membranes, Drainage, Pumps and Control Systems, whenever natural drainage is not available.

Australia does not currently have a Standard for below ground waterproofing solutions. In the absence of this, Dryspace Solutions refers to the British Standard BS8102:2022, and uses the Newton Waterproofing Type C systems for these types of installations. British Standard 8102:2022 defines ‘Type C’ waterproofing as “drained protection” where water leaking through the structure is accepted into voids and air spaces, strategically placed to the inside of the structure, that depressurise the incoming water and safely remove it from the property.
