These are the two questions we frequently get asked when discussing basement waterproofing.
In the absence of a basement and below ground waterproofing standard in Australia, Dryspace refers to and operates on the principles outlined in the BS 8102:2022 Protection of below ground structures against water ingress.
This code of practice highlights the importance of ‘designing with the end in mind’. i.e. what will the rooms be used for when construction is finished?
The Grades are designed to help define what level of waterproofing protection is needed to achieve the desired outcome.
