The Dryspace team are onsite today on the Gold Coast installing a Type C cavity drain system to a retaining wall in this house.
 
The rooms in questions are considered ‘habitable’ or what we refer to as a ‘Grade 3’ space. i.e. no water or moisture should be present.
Inspection found the external waterproofing membrane had been compromised and external excavation was not a viable option for repair. An internally applied waterproofing solution was considered the best option for this home.
 
Designing a waterproofing system with the ‘end in mind’ meant that the waterproofing solution we installed would need to address both water ingress and moisture vapour transmission to ensure NO future damage was caused to internal linings such as plaster and paint.
